Natural Pain Relief-Transformational Movement Lessons
The Transformational Movement Lessons, desk exercises and office stretches are very different from regular exercise. Rather than engage in repetitive movements that are often done forcefully and even mindlessly, with the Transformational Movement Lessons you will be asked to move gently and slowly and pay attention to what you feel. You will be paying attention to your whole body, not just the painful areas. You will quickly become aware of what you are doing and will discover ways to move that are easier and are pain-free. You will be amazed at how much better you will feel - fast.
In each movement lesson you will be guided through a sequence of movements by your Interactive Personal Trainer. You will be encouraged to move slowly and gently. In each desk exercise you will learn new movement skills or improve on existing skills that are necessary for you to be free of pain and chronic pain. Each desk exercise is different from all others. This variety insures that your brain continues to get a rich flow of new information that it needs.
Each individual lesson is between 4 and 6 minutes long and can be done individually or grouped into complete programs that you can safely do in the office or the comfort of your home.
You will learn how to bend, arch, and twist your spine easily and fully. You will become more flexible and stronger without forcing. Back Pain Treatment Like You Have Never Experienced Before!

Here is the story of Ann who unsuccessfully tried everything in order to get relief for her lower back pain and finally found relief with the Anat Baniel Method.
Ann had two back surgeries. In the first, hardware was placed in her lower spine in order to fuse it. In the second surgery the same hardware was taken out because the pain became much worse as a result of the first surgery. A tall, beautiful woman, she was in her mid forties when she first came to see Ms Baniel. Ann had so much pain in her back that every time she moved she tightened her whole body and held her breath. She was in bed for hours every day and when she was up, she stood and walked on curled toes. Ann tried various therapies with little relief. She was in this condition for almost seven years.
Ms. Baniel did not tell Ann the “right” way to stand, sit, or move. Instead Ms Baniel moved Ann’s body very gently giving Ann’s brain the opportunity to experience alternative ways of moving - pain free. Quickly, Ann learned new movement patterns that decreased her pain and increased her flexibility and strength. Soon Ann’s confidence grew and she began to do the lower back Transformational Movement Lessons Programs at home.
As Ann got better and better, she had to change many of her beliefs and ideas about her body and what is best for her. For example, she was told by one of her therapists to tighten her belly and hold it in to “support her spine” and protect her lower back. Once Ann discovered, through these new techniques for upper and lower back exercises, how to safely move her lower back, she could stand with her feet flat on the floor, breathe freely and feel more powerful in her body.
As Ann continued with her choice of a technique for back exercises - the Transformational Movement Lesson programs,- she had less and less pain for longer periods of time. Today Ann drives, works, takes care of her child, flies on airplanes, and is fully in life. On most days she does not need to lie down anymore.
